Senior Pastor
Timothy W. Sloan serves as the Senior Pastor of The Luke Church in Humble, Texas. He is a native of Sherman, Texas and received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia. He went on to receive his Master of Divinity Degree from Princeton Theological Seminary in Princeton, New Jersey. He has studied law at Rutgers University School of Law in Camden as well as South Texas College of Law in Houston. He received his Doctor of Ministry Degree in Transformative Leadership from Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School in Rochester, New York.

Jacqueline Pettigrew
Executive Assistant to the Senior Pastor
Jacqueline is an administrative professional with 20 plus years of experience in executive support within academia and ministry. She has earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Marketing Management, as well as a Master of Arts in Psychology, and is presently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Community Psychology.

Dr. Akeem Walker
Executive Pastor
Akeem is a native of Suffolk, Virginia. Having 10 plus years of Pastoral Experience, he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Religious Studies. He went on to receive both the Master of Arts in Christian Education and the Master of Divinity from The Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union Seminary in Richmond, Virginia. He was an Inaugural Fellow of the Black Theology & Leadership Institute at Princeton Theological Seminary, and also has a Certification in Youth Ministry & Theology. He received his Doctor of Ministry Degree in Preaching & Social Concern from Virginia Union University in 2018.

Dr. Arbra Bailey
Director of Operations
Arbra is a native of Houston, Texas. He has 30 plus years of ministry, leadership, and consulting experience spanning the Church, non-profit, corporate, and higher education. Arbra received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. He received his Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry in Theology from Baylor University’s Truett Seminary in Waco, Texas.

Worship Arts Pastor
Chad has gladly served The Luke since 2011 and gives leadership to the Worship Arts Ministry. Comprised of the multi-generational music, dance, drama and media teams, Worship Arts works hard to facilitate meaningful services for our children, youth and adults on a weekly basis. With over twenty years of experience, Chad is passionate about using the arts to advance Christian discipleship. He holds a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences Degree in Music from the University of North Texas, a Master of Arts in Worship from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry degree in Transformational Leadership at Boston University in Boston, MA.

Min. Lisa Reaves
Coordinator of Ministry Operations and Communications
Lisa hails from the great city of Greensboro, North Carolina. Through a series of God-ordained events, she moved to Houston in 2020. She has over a decade of event coordination, administration, and social media management experience. Her love for ministry and administration has led her to serve at The Luke Church. Lisa is pursuing her Master of Divinity at The Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union Seminary in Richmond, Virginia.

Dr. Christopher Ware
Pastor of Congregational Care
Chris is a native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Christopher completed a Clinical Pastoral Education residency at a level 1 Trauma Center and comes with over a decade of Clinical Spiritual Counselor and Associate Pastor experience. Dr. Ware earned his Master of Divinity Degree in Theology and Congregational Leadership from Eden Theological Seminary in 2013 and his Doctor of Ministry Degree with a concentration in Spiritual Wound Care for the Soul from United Theological Seminary in 2020.

Coordinator of Spiritual Formation and Assimilation
Aisha is first and foremost a disciple of Jesus Christ. She is an author, emerging Black scholar, phenomenal expository preacher and teacher. She is the Founder of Christ on Purpose and Unity Research Group, LLC which serves persons across the U.S. She graduated with a Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary (Texas), and received a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from Dillard University (New Orleans.) She is currently undergoing doctoral studies in global leadership and transformational development at Fuller Theological Seminary. She also enjoys preaching, teaching, spiritual formation, spending time with her daughter, family, and friends.

Pastor of Student Life
Born and raised on the West Bank of New Orleans, LA, Brandon currently lives in Houston, TX, and practices as a Licensed Professional Counselor (Supervisor) in Texas and Louisiana, specializing in Marriage and Family systems. Professionally, he wear many hats: Owner of Williams Counseling & Consulting, LLC; National Trainer for Mental Health First Aid USA, Adjunct Psychology professor, Motivational Speaker, and Pastor of Student Life at The Luke Church of Humble, TX. Brandon is also a Doctoral Candidate in the Counselor Education and Supervision Program at Regent University.

Children’s Director
Kendria is a native Houstonian, wife, and mother of three beautiful children. She has over 15 years of experience as an early childhood educator and has earned an associate degree in teaching. She is the director of the Children’s Ministry at the Luke Church, where she joyfully serves children and their families. Her mission is to encourage spiritual growth within families and to equip them with tools that foster Christian values.

John has been working in the broadcast industry for over 15 years with experience in film, television, church production, and live event broadcasts. He serves as the Executive Producer of Media at The Luke Church with a staff of media professionals and volunteers dedicated to meeting the creative vision of the church.

Shonda Glenn
Creative Designer
Shonda is a God-gifted, self-taught graphic artist. She started this journey in 2005, freelancing part-time since 2007, and was blessed to start her own business full-time, “The ChurchWhisperer”, in 2015. Coupled with a strong passion for art and ministry within the church, her work is rooted in the desire to combine the two. Shonda delights in finding imaginative solutions for complex problems and moving ideas from good to great. Shonda gladly serves as Creative Designer at The Luke.

Financial Administrator
Ivory is a native Houstonian and married with two adult children. Her career includes over 41 years in the corporate sector with 25 of those years in financial reporting. Ivory attended the University of Houston where she studied Business/Accounting. Ivory joined The Luke Church in 2011 and started working with the bookstore and choir ministry. She accepted a part-time position in 2012 and after two years Ivory’s heart and passion led her to accept the full-time position as the Financial Administrator.

LaKesha serves as the Administrative Assistant of The Luke Church. She has over 15 years of administrative experience. LaKesha is married and raising two children. She has been a member of The Luke Church since 2010.

Guided by faith, Natalie serves as the Ministry Support Assistant at The Luke Church, where she is committed to making a lasting impact.
